OK, so we can rule out the second Wladyslaw then? But Leo has him with the
common ancestor of Andreas II, King of Andreas (1176-1235) connecting to
Wladyslaw II, King of Poland (1351-1434), and Cousin of George Washington.
Then we have the following tree:
**1. Wladyslaw Herman (1042-June 4, 1102)
....Son of Kazmierz Odnowiciel and Dobroniega. He married Judith von Bohmen
B: 1056 M: abt 1080 D: December 25, 1086
**2. Boleslaw Wrymouth (1086-1138) married Sbislava of Kiev B: abt 1100 D:
1109. Salomea was his last wife).
**3. Wladyslaw Wygnanice (1105- May 30, 1159), "the Exile" (Wladyslaw
Wyganiec) Known as Wladyslaw I.
....Eldest son of Boleslaw Wrymouth.
3. Boleslaw Kedzierzawy (1125-1173), "curly-haired" ... son of Boleslaw
Wrymouth, received Mazovia and Kujawy.
3. Mieszko Stary (1126-1202) another son of Boleslaw, "the old" received
Wielkolska
3. Henryk received the Sandomierz region.
3. Kazmierz Sprawiedliwy, "the Just" ... last son of Boleslaw, born after
his father's death and received nothing.
**4. Boleslaw the tall, Silesian Prince. Boleslaw I of Poland (aft
1129-December 7, 1201). Narried Christina (1150-1206)
4. Konrad of Mozovia (grandson of Boleslaw Wrymouth
4. Mieszko of Poland.
4. Richilda of Poland (1140-June 16, 1185) married Alfonso II, King of Aragon
**5. Henryk Brodoty, "the Bearded" (1165/70-March 19, 1238), grandson of
Wladyslaw the Exile. He married Jadwiga, later a saint circa 1186. She died
October 13, 1243
6. Wladyslaw Lokietek, "the elbow high" ... because of his small statue.
(1260-1333) Crowned King of Poland on January 20, 1320, grandson of Konrad of
Mazovia.
6. Elizabeth, daughter of Henryk Brodoty, married Charles Robert of Anjou.
7. Ludwig of Hungary (1326-1382) Son of Elizabeth and Charles of Anjou.
King of Poland on November 17, 1370. No sons.
7. Kazimierz III (1310-1370), "the great," was the last Piast ruler. He
married four times, but produced no heirs.
8. Jadwiga, daughter of Ludwick (Ludwig) of Hungary (#7) married Wladyslaw
Jagiello (1350-1434). Wladyslaw II.
OK...is this correct? If so, both Wladyslaws are related to one another by
marriage. :-) (sort of)

(in the process of being re-constructed)
1. Wladyslaw II Wygnaniec (the Exile) (1105-1159), prince of Poland
1138-1146, son of Boleslaw III Krzywousty (the Wrymouth)
2. Wladyslaw II Jagiello (c. 1350 - 1434), great duke of Lithuania
1377-1401, king of Poland 1386-1444, son of Olgierd.
That's all.

Hmmmmm, interesting.
How did Wladyslaw II Jagiello manage to remain King of Poland for ten
years after his death?
Don't tell me. I've got it. This is the "Polish Joke of the Week."
Slick.
God Bless Our Polish Ancestors.
[Has anyone heard of Wladyslaw III, King of Poland?]

This drops a generation. She married Alfonzo VII of Castile (as his
second wife) and their daughter Sancha married Alfonso II of Aragon.
She was ancestress of John of Gaunt many times over. There are, IIRC,
descents from three different daughters of her grandson Ramon Berenger
IV of Provence, plus a line through the Kings of Aragon.
