M 1st – Lovell. M 2nd -- Lumley. J.P. for Northants., 20 Nov. 1443 to 1
Sept. 1460, 5 April 1464 to 12 July 1470, 16 Nov. 1470 to 1471 & from 4
April 1473 till death. He was Attorney General to Margaret of Anjou, Queen
of King Henry VI, & was one of the executors of the will of Maud Fosbroke
(nurse to King Henry VI in his childhood), 1448. He was on various
commissions in London, 1448-60. M.P. for Middlesex, 1449. He lent Henry
VI £720, 1452. He was a supporter of the House of Lancaster & King Henry
VI, & consequently, in May 1461, the Escheator of Northants. was directed
to seize his lands, but he was pardoned, 5 Feb. 1462. He was on various
commissions in Middlesex, Northants. & Notts., 1467 to 1473. Died 19 Nov.
1480. He had issue by his 1st wife: Faris, p 235 Griffiths, pp 262 & 368
Wedgwood, pp 840-1 Metcalfe, p 141

Baron Bargavenny, K.G., & his 2nd wife Catherine, sister of John, 1st Duke
of Norfolk, & d. of Sir Robert Howard, Kt. (See NEVILLE). Died before 20
