This is quite a shocking scandal, although not *quite* as upsetting as the scandal involving the former lover of Anderson Hays Cooper's mother's mother's sister, a member of the British royal family, that "genealogist" Will Johnson doesn't know about.
Will Johnson also doesn't know that Anderson Hays Cooper is related to the Duke of Marlborough and to the Earl of Winchilsea and to Dominik Cornelius Valentin Gerold Eugene, Graf Coudenhove-Kalergi.
But Leo does.
It might interest some to see an American connection outlined between Anderson Hays Cooper and those listed above to Patrick Wintour, political editor of the Guardian and, not just to him, but also to his sister, Anna Wintour, *editress* of Vogue magazine, via common American ancestors. I assume Will Johnson will know what an editress is even if nobody else does. These people are also all descendants of Richard Cecil and Jane Heckington and thus related in countless ways to Sarah Margaret Ferguson, Duchess of York (and her daughters, and their eventual descendants, should they have any).

Magdalena Jacobs Verdon & Adam Brouwer are also *ancestress* and ancestor of Joshua Charles Vanneck, 7th Baron Huntingfield (who has at least two American RD ancestors which I may address at a later time) and of David VanCortlandt Crosby.
Maria Badie Verdon married a second time. From this marriage descends Patrick Wintour, editor and Anna Wintour, *editress* as well as Howard Dean, William Addams Reitwiesner and Veronica Naomi Livingston Timpson, wife of the 3rd E/Peel.

Maria Badie Verdon Bennet, married a third time to Paulus Vanderbeek, a surgeon from Bremen, by whom she is an *ancestress* of Elizabeth "Betty" (Bloomer) Warren wife of Gerald Rudolph Ford, Vice-President of the United States of America 1973-74, President of the United States of America 1974-77. If anyone is interested in that connection I'd be happy to send it off-list.
Since it involves royal descents I'll outline what the 1949 Livingston genealogy says about the ancestry of the wife of the 3rd E/Peel in a separate post (probably not today).
Cordially,
