According to Burke's Peerage (not a great source I know, but the only one I
can find on point) the wife of William Clifton (d 1564 & son of Sir Gervase
Clifton d 1491) was "Elizabeth, d. of Thomas Blount of Sodington".

I have looked at the 1569 Visitation of Worcester, but without success in
finding a Clifton marriage or reference to this Thomas?
Can anyone help?
