I found the information in "The Prosopography of Post-Conquest England:
Four Case Studies", K.S.B. Keats-Rohan, _Medieval Prosopography_
14:1-52, 159-64. Here, in her study of Walter Giffard, she includes the
statement that Ralph de Fougeres was son of Main II and Adelaide,
daughter of Geoffrey of Sable, son of Ralph of le Mans. Main II was
thus brother-in-law of Robert le Burgundian of Nevers, who married
Geoffrey's (co-)heiress and became vicount of Sable.
