Dear Douglas and others,
The records on -line of the
Auberchicourts, Seigneurs de Bugnicourt don`t add up. the first Eustache d`Auberchicourt
to hold the Seignuerie of Bugnicourt succeeded his father Gauthier in 1209,
the first of his descendants I know of is Balduin d`Auberchicourt, Seigneur de
Bugnicourt who was killed at Courtrai in 1302, a son Eustache succeeding
him. He recieved Isabel of France after she became Queen of England and He had to
have been succeeded by a son or brother Nicolas II who married a de Roeulx ,
They had at least three sons Nicholas III who succeeded to his father`s
lands by 1354 and was alive until at least 1370 when He sold the seigneurie of
Gourgechon, formerly a possession of the Douchy family which He had had in 1354,
Eustache died 1372 who married Elizabeth of Julich in 1360, and Gilles
Sincerely,
James W Cummings
