Alice married (1) Eubolo Le Strange, son of John V Le Strange and Maud d'
Eiville. Eubolo was born about 1286 in Of Ellesmere, Shrops, Eng.. He died
1335.
Alice also married (2) Thomas (of Lancaster) Plantagenet [Earl Lancaster], son
of Edmund "Crouchback" (of Lancaster) Plantagenet [Prince of England] and
Blanche d' Artois [Queen of Navarre] before 28 Oct 1294. The marriage ended in
divorce. Thomas was born about 1278 in Grismond Castle, Monmouthshire,
England. He died 22 Mar 1321/1322 in Pontefract, Yorkshire, England, beheaded.
He was the 2nd Earl of Lancaster, Derby, & Leicester; Steward of England; Earl
of Lincoln and Salisbury jure uxoris. He was present at the siege of
Carlaverock 1 July 1300. Throughout nearly the whole of his career his policy
was one of obstruction to his cousin the King, which he carried to the extreme
of having treasonable correspondence with the Scots. He was beheaded outside
Pontefract in the presence of his cousin, King Edward II. (AOL)
