Does anyone know how the Mauduits of Warminster (Wilts), Shalden
(Hants), and Somerford (Wilts) connect to the Hanslope family?

Thank you for your response. I'm sorry, but I am still confused. Here
is what I have.

I Per VCH Hampshire 4:369 Manor of Grately:

1. John Mauduit m. Juliana
2. Thomas Mauduit d. 1322
3. Elizabeth de Knoville
4. Warin Mauduit d. 1299/1300
6. Bogo de Knoville
8. Thomas Mauduit

II Per the above p 102 Manor of Shalden:

1. John Mauduit
2. Thomas Mauduit d. 1322
3. Elizabeth de Knoville
4. Warin Mauduit d. 1299/1300
6. Bogo de Knoville
8. Thomas Mauduit, successor of William
16. William Mauduit
32. Thomas Mauduit d 1244
64. Robert Mauduit d. 1191

III I also have this line from CP 8:551

1. Egidia Mauduit m. John de Moleyns
2. Sir John Mauduit, of Somerford 1281-1347
3. Margaret Poges m. abt. 1307; d. 1368
4. Robert Mauduit, held Fonthill, Wilts; d. 1288 (possibly son)
5. Alice
6. Sir Robert Poges
8. Robert Mauduit (possibly son)
16. Robert Mauduit (perhaps son)
32. Robert Mauduit, of Somerford, Wilts; d. bef. 1243
64. Robert Mauduit, of Warminster, Wilts
65. Agnes de la Mare

Are Robert II 64 and Robert III 64 the same?
I am not clear about who his/their father(s) are.
How come I have so many more generations?

Yes.

His father is William of Hartley Mauduit who married Adelicia. See my
other posts to continue the Hartley Mauduit ancestry.

It would appear that there are either two Mauduits who married
Elizabeths, dtrs. of Bogo de Knovilles are they grafted them.

Recently there was a thread about the Mauduits of Hanslope. I believe it
ended at Robert Mauduit (died 1222) - was Robert the father of William
(died 1257), who married Alice de Newburgh?

Thank you.

Benjamin
