mistakenly claims that there is a
Sir John or Henry Harpur who d.s.p. 20 Feb 1678/9 buried at Swarkston

Stirnet claims he married twice
Frances Palmer
Frances Willoughby

None of the above is actually true. OK one bit.

What actually occurred is that this man's FATHER
Sir John Harpur married
1 Catherine Howard
2 as a lecherous old man of 48, the 18-year-old Frances Willoughby

This is the man buried at Swarkston 20 Feb 1678/9

His son by Catherine, named Henry
was only an esq
born in 1639
he married one time only to
Frances Palmer
daughter of Sir Geoffrey Palmer 1st Bnt (d 1670)

They married
29 Aug 1660
St Pancras Old Church, co Mdx; first husband

She *survived* him to marry secondly
John de la /Fountayne/
bap 28 Oct 1638
Kirby Bellars, co Leic (C060322 wj)

They were living in 1671 when a post nuptial settlement exists
