And the 1606 testament of Janet Ruthven does mention Adam Stewart, but gives
only the name of the unmarried daughter Elspeth Stewart who was present in
Perth. This may be due to the debts of �933 being nearly equal to the assets
of �1,020, if I understand it correctly.
Also, if Scots Peerage is reliable here, 3 sons of previously mentioned Mary
Stewart and David King at Hoy in the Orkneys also went to Sweden as
officers, namely 1. James King, knighted in Sweden 1639, created Lord
Eythin in Scotland 1642 (and baptized a son Adam i Edinburgh 1616), 2. John
King "of Warbester, Hoy" and later Sweden, and 3. David King who died 1634
in the battle of Nordlingen.
