This confuses two different women. Pedro married Agnes, daughter of
William VIII and Hildegard, who died in 1097. The wife of Helias was
Agnes, daughter of William VIII by one of his earlier wives (speculates
Vajay), married first Alfonso VI of Leon and Castile. They were
divorced because they were related (that and she had not produced any
children) and she them married Helias. Likewise she is distinct from
Agnes, daughter of William IX, who married Peter's half-brother, Ramiro
II.

I got this also from the Hull-database:
Agnes of Pointou
Born: 1052
Died: CIR 1078
Father: , William VI\VIII (Guido) of Aquitaine, Duke of Aquitaine, b. ABT
1026
Married 1069 Divorce 1077 to Ferdinandez, Alfonso VI, King of León &
Castile
If this Agnes died in 1078 (wife of the king of Leon), the other Agnes in
1097 (wife of the king of Aragon), then who is the Agnes of Aquitaine who
married the count of Maine in 1109?
Greetings,
Ryan
This Agnes didn't die in 1078. That is the approximate date of her
divorce. She is the one who went on to marry Helias, as reported by
norman sources (specifically "Agnes, formerly wife of Alfonso, King of .
. . mareied Helias" so there can be no doubt who was intended).
