Thanks to Todd Farmerie and three other people, I think I have improved the information about Alfonso VI and his descendants.
In several generations they can be found established in several other countries.

I have made a file but I am sure there are still lots of details missing and I hope people are willing to have a look at this file.

With best wishes

Notes:
The source for the first generations is an non edited work "Genealogia
da Família Cancella, de Anadia" by Lopo de Carvalho Cancella de Abreu.
I did not saw it so I can not evaluate it. It must be mainly an
ahnentafel and more children may exist; the possibility that it is
just un unfounded link to royaltie is negligible as Cancella de Abreu
is a well known family and they have other lines to royalty.
The last generation is covered in "Titulos Nobiliarios Andaluces" by
Jorge Valverde Fraikin, Ed. Andalucia, Granada, 1991

Notes:
a) There are more doubts than certainties in the chronology of D.
Sancho's illegitimate children. I will post the basic information when
possible.
b) It is argued if Dom/Dona (abbreviated D.) is a title or a style and
it's use has changed along the time. In this epoch all the children of
kings had the Dom/Dona but only the infants, the legitimate, could
transmit it to their children. As all the portuguese rules/customs
there were exceptions, some by the king's decision others we do not
know why.
c) The style "of Portugal" was not used and it is a modern convention
or probably a modern fashion; however when an infant went abroad could
be so mentioned in documents and the same for illegitimate and some
nobles of high rank. This was the case of III-1 (II-1-4) (a) 12 styled
in Portugal D. Martim Sanches but also D. Martin Sanchez de Portugal
in Galicia and Castile.
d) With not more than a handfull of exceptions, women had a given name
and a patronymic and with much more exceptions the same was true for
men. The above mentioned Alfonso Tellez de Menezes probably was never
mentioned as de Menezes and his children were the first generation to
adopt de Menezes; only for easier identification family names are
given to women, sometimes between brackets as Elvira Gonçalves (de
Toronho).

Francisco

Notes:
a) I have kept the order in Leo's file but 1. D. Afonso should be 6.
b) For the missing two legitimate children I gave numbers 8* and 9*
without changing the numbers of the illegitimate.
c) In the reign of D. Afonso III the use of Dom was severely
restricted and not given to his illegitimate sons; however due to the
custom, some of them are so mentioned in some documents.

Best regards,
Francisco

Notes:
The main source is "Nobiliário das Famílias de Portugal" by Manuel
José da Costa Felgueiras Gaio (1750-1831) a judge. It is one of the
two biggest genealogical works in Portugal but not one of the most
reliable.
Felgueiras Gaio mainly copied older works - that was the only way to
write such an huge work - rarely mentioned primary sources and only
exceptionally gives dates.
Gaio clearly wrote a nobiliary and sons that decayed or daughters that
married below their status were ignored or mentioned once without
further notice.
I do not know where Leo got the information but it was clearly from
Gaio, not complete and with added dates, exactly the same that can be
seen in GeneAll, a portuguese genealogical site, where the dates were
estimated sometimes with 8 or 10 generations between two known dates.
Roughly the first part is also covered by "Linhagens Medievais
Portuguesas" - 3 vols, José Augusto de Sotto Mayor Pizarro,
Universidade Moderna, 1ª Edição, Porto, 1999 a very reliable work; the
middle and last parts are only from Gaio but the last part, the Varela
connecting with Fonseca Coutinho and Gomes da Silva, two known and
important families, has been scrutinized by modern authors without
divergences that I heard about.

Best regards,
Francisco
