Here is a revised, preliminary, interim version of my *tabula rasa*
Ahnenreihe for Edward of Warwick PLANTAGENET, [1475-1499] Earl of Warwick.
It still needs much scrubbing and tweaking. It is, in my opinion, an
unfinished and mediocre product.
Only #47, the Mother of Katherine ROET is unidentified. I am sure I've
introduced some new errors, without correcting all the old ones. There is
quite a bit of data here---and many chances to screw up. "Alianore" and
"Eleanor" are of, course, the same Christian name. There was no Noah
Webster, on the Medieval scene, to crack his orthographical whip over the
heads of the scribes and scribblers.
Again, comments, critiques and corrections are most welcome [C^3].
I have suppressed the extensive notes and sources, in order to keep the
length down. Principal sources are G. E. Cokayne's "The Complete Peerage"
[Revised Edition], Encyclopedia Brittanica, University of Hull and
second-hand via the courtesy of Ed Mann---Faris' "Plantagenet Ancestry" and
Weis "Magna Charta Sureties, 1215" [Fourth Edition] and Adrian Channing. I
used many other secondary sources, Alison Weir, various histories of the
Houses of Lancaster and York---from courses taken and given by friends,
relatives and myself----as ancilliary textual material. All of that is in
the extensive notes for each person---but I've suppressed them here to keep
the length manageable.
