She was a co-heiress of her father
Robert /Dalyngruge/ of Bromfield by his wife a Miss de la Lynde co-heiress
of her own father Walter de la /Lynde/

I think Burke's is off once again.

Joan de Lynde, heiress (or possibly co-heiress) of Sir Walter de la
Lynde (CIPM) of Bolebrook, Sussex and Winterbourne Clenstone, Dorset
was married to John Dalyngruge. Walter was son of John de la Lynde and
his wife Clarice de Hartley of Hartley and Great Minterne, Dorset.
John and Joan had three sons Sir Roger, Sir Edward and Walter.

I believe the Joan de Dalyngruge who married Richard Syndenham was
granddaughter of Joan and John above. Her father was likely Sir Roger
Dalyngruge (whose brother of Sir Edward Dalyngruge built the beautiful
Bodiam Castle in East Sussex). Her mother was Alice Ratynden. Alice
may be related to the John Ratynden mentioned in the CPR. As these are
not my lines, I only have limited documentation and thus additional
research and documentation is needed.

Hope this gives other names to research.

See the pedigree of the Dalyngruge family in Sussex Archaeological
Collections, vol. 9, 1857, which suggests that Sir Roger Dalyngruge,
Sheriff of Sussex 46 Edward III, MAY be a brother of Sir Edward
Dalyngruge (builder of Bodiam castle) and Walter Dalyngruge. The
pedigree also indicates that Joan, daughter of Walter de la Lynde, was
the mother of Sir Edward, Walter, and [possibly] Sir Roger - and not
Sir Roger's wife, as indicated by Burke's Extinct Baronetages, that
always reliable source (!!!) cited by Will. The SAC pedigree however
does not indicate Sir Roger's wife or give him any children. I would
be interested to know of sources that name his wife as Alice Ratynden
and that also equate Sir Roger the sheriff with Roger of Broomfield
whose daughter Joan married Richard Sydenham.

Here is a web page which cites CIPM, VCH, CPR etc. Have not verified,
but is presented in more believable detail than most such sites.
However links should be verified.

With respect to Roger's wife Alice Rattynden, the cited web page makes
the following statement:

"Roger - (d. 1380?) A pedigree published in 'Bodiam and its Lords' by
Anthony Lower shows Roger married to Alice Rattynden, widow of Thomas
Seymour. "

The item by Anthony Lower appears to be the same source as the Sussex
Archaeological Collections article that I cited earlier. The article
seems to have been reprinted (as a pamphlet?) in a least two editions:
1857 and 1871. The 1871 edition is available on Google Books as is
the SAC article. The problem is that neither the 1871 edition nor the
SAC article itself makes reference to Alice Rattynden. So something's
wrong with this particular citation (at least) on the web page.

It's worth noting that the web page also suggests (in the paragraph
preceding the quote above) that there may have have been two men name
Roger Dalyngrugue - which would certainly confuse the matter.

>From The National Trust guide to Bodiam Castle (1991) p. 31: "To the right
of Sir Edward's" that is Sir Edward Dalyngrigge the builder "arms are the
arms of Radynden. Sir Edward inherited the Manor of Radynden from Sir
Roger Dalyngrigge, who was provably a cousin and who was Sheriff of Sussex in
1333. Sir Roger obtained the Radynden Manor through his marriage to Alice,
daughter and heir of Sir John de Radynden, some time before 1350"
