Robert de Brusse b. 1019 m. Emma de Brittany
did they have a son William de Braiose b. 1049 who married Agnes de
Clare and had son Adam Brus who married Emma Ransley, or was Adam a son
of Robert and Emma?

The Braiose/Braose family and the Brus family are not connected.

I have a Brus b. ca 1030 married to Emma of Brittany with a son Robert
married to Agnes Paganel and a grandson Adam who married Ivetta de
Arches.

Dear Kay (and anyone else who may know),

Do you have a source for the marriage of Robert de Brus and Emma of
Brittany, and/or any indication of Emma's parentage?

Robert (I) de Brus (d.?1094), of North Cave, Yorks, had a son Robert (II)
(d.1142), of Skelton & Danby, Yorks and Annandale, Scotland. The wife of
the former is (as far as I know) not known. The wife of the latter is given
In DNB as Agnes dau. of Fulk Paynel, of Carlton, Yorks, but Barrow in the
Tafel for Bruce in *Lexikon des Mittelalters* identifies her as Agnes Bainard.
