Perhaps this reference is already known, but an article on "Anne Bradstreet, the First American Poetess, and Her Father, Governor Thomas Dudley," by Karl Josef Hoeltgen, appears in _Northamptonshire Past & Present_ for 1976, pp. 325-32:

This article gives two letters by members of the Isham family with passing references to Judge Augustine Nicholls' "man," Thomas Dudley, i.e., subsequently the Massachusetts Bay governor. There is also a reproduction of Thomas Dudley's signature on an English document.
