After her husband's death, she founded the monastery of Nivelles =8C(near=

Liege in Belgium) with the help of St.Amand, and later that of Fosses nearb=

for St.Foilan. She is also called St.Ida of Nivelles (not to be confused=20
with St.Ida of Herzfeld, who has been seen by some as a Carolingian).
