I hadn't planned on a post re: my own ancestry, although there's
certainly no problem in that regard....
It would appear you are correct in your comparison with George 'W' and
his Crusading predecessors. I will compare your list with my own (I think you
show one or two I haven't identified as a Crusader). However, the list below
shows those individuals I have identified as involved in at least one
'crusade', including those ventures to Spain (William St. Clair, and James le Douglas,
for two) and a rather late 14th century foray (Hugh de Stafford, 2nd Earl of
Stafford, d. at Rhodes in 1386). My total count, with those inclusions,
stands at 102.
