Has anyone done any work on the descendents of Owain Glyndwr?
According the Bartrum he had 7 sons & 6 daughters. All the daughters are
shown as having married but the Dictionary of Welsh National Biography
indicates that all the sons apart from Maredudd died before their
father.

I know the Wynn's of Gwydair Castle are sypposedly descendants of Owen Glendower and that one of his daughters married Edmund Mortimer heir persumptive to Richard II of England

You might check the book MEDIEVAL WELSH ANCESTORS OF CERTAIN AMERICANS by Carl Boyer (2004). I don't have the address handy at the moment, but they can be ordered directly from him. Bronwen

Why do I find myself thinking "Are you Edmund Mortimer? If not, have you got him?"

Dear Stephen (and Bronwen, et al.),

A good starting point re: the descendants of Owain Glyndwr would
be Leo van de Pas' excellent website, Genealogics. The descendants
that Leo shows (first 5 generations after Owain) are noted on the page/
report noted below, but you can track these further as you will.

http://www.genealogics.org/descend.php?personID=I00232093&tree=LEO

Without delving too far down the line, Leo's notes for certain
individuals show that Prince Charles is one of Owain's descendants.
Thanks to the work of the late William Addams Reitwiesner, I have only
lately found Owain to be an ancestor of mine (via Rev. Roger Parry of
Hinton Ampner).

Cheers,

John

Speaking of databases, the Welsh Genealogy Database at the FHL can be
useful too. See here for its take on the first several generations of
Owain Glyndwr's descendants:
http://histfam.familysearch.org/descendtext.php?personID=I2809&tree=Welsh&display=block&generations=6

He appears to have had descendants only by two of his legitimate
daughters, and also by one illegitimate son (although the descendants
of the latter seem to have died out).

Long-time Scudamore researcher Warren Skidmore cast some doubt over whether any of the descents from Sir John Scudamore are actually by the daughter of Glyndwr - see article here (pdf file):
