I would appreciate it if anyone could shed some light on the ancestry
of Sir John Raleigh of Nettlecombe, Somerset. He married Ismania Hanham,
who, after his death, married Sir John Burghersh of Kingsey,
Buckingahmshire, who died 1391. Raleigh's daughter married Sir John
Whalesborough. If anyone knows anything about the Whalesborough
ancestry, that would also be appreciated.

Thank you very much.

There are some volumes of published abstracts of Somerset Wills.
In a volume 'Somerset Medieval Wills 1383-1500' edited by Rev.Weaver,
1901, there is the transcription of the will of Simon Raleghe of
Nettlecombe. The book is in the university, date unknown - do you have
the will?
Mike.
