Dear Newsgroup ~

The authoritative Complete Peerage 8 (1932): 71-73 (sub Lisle of
Rougemont) has a good account of the life history of Sir Robert de
Lisle (died 1334), 1st Lord Lisle of Rougement. Regarding his
marriage, the following information is provided:

"He apparently married, before 3 May 1318, Margaret, daughter of Walter
de Beauchamp, of Alcester, co. Warwick, Steward of the King's Household
(died 1303). She died in the summer of 1339."

A published abstract of a Cambridgeshire fine indicates that the
marriage of Sir Robert de Lisle and Margaret de Beauchamp took place
before 1315/16, as indicated below :

No. 138c.

Date: 9 Edward II [1315-1316].

Robert de Insula and Margaret his wife v. William de Risheton in
Cotenham and Westwyk [Reference: Walter Rye, Pedes Finium or Fines
Relating to the County of Cambridge (1891): 83].

Best always, Douglas Richardson, Salt Lake City, Utah
