I observe that there must be something seriously wrong with some sources as to the treatment of the Caucasian royal dynasty in such (oddball) sources.
Have such some sources boggled also other things?

An overwhelming majority of standard historiographies and sources consistently mention that the Caucasian queen Rusudan of Kartvelians was sister of her predecessor, the Caucasian king Giorgi IV 'lasha'. And standard material reports their flourishing period, and their birthdates, as such that this queen cannot have been daughter of that king.

I ask: is there some actual newer knowledge that the prevalently reported filiation (= these were siblings) would be incorrect?
and what would be near-contemporary data to support such a point?

The prevalent (and 'standard') knowledge is that Rusudan was sister of king Giorgi IV:
they both being children (born in the 1190s) of queen Thamar the Great and her second husband, king-consort Davit 'soslan'.

But but but...namely, obviously some source attempted to present queen Rusudan as daughter of Giorgi IV - against the standard view. It would presumably be one of sources listed in below, see:

what source is the one which makes Rusudan a child of Giorgi IV, as opposed to being a child of Davit 'soslan' and Thamar the Great ?
is Ferrand making this claim?

so, I am interested in hearing what are near-contemporary-attested facts that would cause the 'revolution' in this kinship.
