Gottfried III. von Heideck (died about 1331) is an ancestor of Prince Charles of Wales (through Gottfried's 3-great-grandson Johann III. Freiherr von Heideck, who was a 3-great-grandfather of Esther von Flanss, the mother of Georg Adam II. von Schlieben (the first Graf von Schlieben)).

Gottfried III. is shown in genealogics.org (https://genealogics.org/getperson.php?personID=I00201849&tree=LEO) as son of a Marquard von Heideck and as married to a Kunigunde von Dornberg, but genealogics.org shows no mother for Gottfried III. and no father for Kunigunde.

Gottfried III.'s mother was a Sophie von Nürnberg (not yet in genealogics.org), sister of Konrad II. Burggraf von Nürnberg and Friedrich III. Burggraf von Nürnberg and thus daughter of Konrad I. Burggraf von Nürnberg (https://genealogics.org/getperson.php?personID=I00060586&tree=LEO). This relationship is apparently shown in ESNF 16: 115. Documentation: (1) in a charter dated 1263 Sophie was named as wife of Marquard von Heideck (Nürnberger Urkundenbuch, vol. 1, nr. 399, as cited in Dietrich Deeg, Die Herrschaft der Herren von Heideck (Neustadt/Aisch: 1968), p. 33, not viewable online); (2) in a charter dated 16 June 1278 Friedrich Burggraf von Nürnberg in name of himself and his brother Konrad recognized holdings of Gottfried von Heideck, son of their sister (Monumenta Boica 49: nr. 99, viewable at https://babel.hathitrust.org/cgi/pt?id=mdp.39015073714381&view=1up&seq=167); (3) in undated charter from late 1270s or early 1280s (after Marquard's death and before Gottfried III. acquired his own seal) Sophie, calling herself Burggräfin von Nürnberg, sealed a transaction of her son Gottfried von Heideck (Hauptstaatsarchiv München: Reichsstadt Rothenburg, Urkunde 47, as cited in Dietrich Deeg, Die Herrschaft der Herren von Heideck (Neustadt/Aisch: 1968), p. 33, not viewable online).

Gottfried III.'s wife Kunigunde von Dornberg was the daughter of Wolfram Vogt von Dornberg (https://genealogics.org/getperson.php?personID=I00200415&tree=LEO) and thus sister to Anna and Elisabeth von Dornberg, who each married a Graf von Öttingen. This relationship is apparently shown in ESNF 16: 114A. Documentation: (1) in a charter dated 28 March 1292, Kunigunde wife of Gottfried von Heideck called the late Wolfram Vogt von Dornberg her father (Monumenta Zollerana vol. 2 (1856), nr. 375, viewable at https://digital.ub.uni-duesseldorf.de/ihd/content/pageview/7967680); (2) in a charter dated 2 February 1291 Friedrich and Ludwig von Öttingen and Gottfried von Heideck carried out a provision of the last will of their father-in-law Wolfram Vogt von Dornberg (Georg Grupp, Oettingische Regesten (1896-1908), p. 90, nr. 332, viewable at https://archive.org/details/bub_gb_DS8WAAAAYAAJ/page/n103/mode/2up).
