[14] There is a 1376 record that shows Sir Gerard's bro Sir Henry was d. at least by that date (Soothill being granted for life to Sir Henry's widowed wife Dionisia and her second husband, Sir Thomas de Markyngfield) [15]. Since the previous earliest record for Dionisia's husband dates to 1369 [16], it is very possible that he d. bef the 1371 grant.
