Ref: LAVEN a Jewish name

This was not a very scientific approach but...

There is a site called the "Simon Laven Page". Sounds very Jewish to me,
mainly because Simon was born at the Beth Israel Medical Center, New York.
Check it out at http://www.toptown.com/hp/sjlaven/

Then at http://www.sunflower.com/6news/monique_laven.shtml you will see
Monique Ming Laven's picture. Despite the Chinese connotation, she looks to
me as having a very sephardic punaim.

If you go to Lea Laven's site http://www.m-ohjelmat.fi/laven.html you will
find a very good looking lady who also looks kosher to me....

So maybe Laven is a Jewish surname after all ;)
