Tehilla is the Hebrew word for psalm. In Hebrew the plural of Tehilla is
Tehillium (in English = Psalms. You will find the word Tehillium if you look
in a Sidur (Jewish Prayer Book) or Tanakh (Jewish Bible) or Chumash (Book
form of the Torah) which include the Book of Psalms.
My Great-Grandmother was named Tehilla and was called Tillie. Also, I have
met a few other women named this.
Slifkin stated that the name Tillie is derived from Mathilda. Which is
correct for the source of its derivation from European Christian names.
Tillie is also a known nickname for Natalie or Nathalie.
