as of today London 0171 and 0181 codes are
discontinued and have been replaced
with new London dialing codes.
0171 you should now dial 0207
0181 you should now dial 0208
Pleae remember that when dialling from USA or
any country outisde UK-the 0 is not used.
So a dialling path looks like this: country code for
UK is 44:-
(from US) 011 44 207 888 8888

I use www.192.com -useful web site.
You may experience problems with auto dialing,
to the Internet for instance,
so you may need to update some telephone
numbers on your computer, fax or on
your mobile phone with the new codes.
