The International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies
is now accepting proposals from potential speakers for the 20th
Annual Conference on Jewish Genealogy, which will be held from
July 9-14, 2000, at the Doubletree Hotel in Salt Lake City.
Proposals should be sent to Jewish Genealogy Seminar, 7604 Edenwood
Court, Bethesda, MD 20817.
Submitters should submit proposals on separate pages for each
lecture. Each page should include:
* Name
* Address
* Telephone
* E-mail
* Lecture Title
* 50-word description to be used in the Seminar Program
booklet
* A more extensive description, up to 500 words, that
describes the content of the lecture which will allow the program
committee to decide on the merits of the proposal.
In the accompanying letter, the lecturer should include a
biography that describes prior lecture experience and Jewish
genealogy experience.
Lecturers selected will receive free registration plus $100
for each lecture given. Any number of lectures may be submitted;
it is recommended that there be at least three. Lecturers will be
required to submit for the conference syllabus from 1-4 pages which
summarizes the lecture.
Deadline for submissions is December 31, 1999.
