Dear Fellow Jewishgenners,
I was asked by Dr. Leonard Golubchick, the Principal of my school
P.S. 20, to contact all of you on a very interesting project that we are
working on.
This is in conjunction with the ongoing attempts to make old Public
School records more accessible to genealogists and their blood
descendants who went to Lower East Side schools. Personally, I
continue to make efforts to locate records requested from April
2001. This delay has been unavoidable.
Upon entering our school, we have an Alumni Wall of Honor listing 98
graduates of our great school who became well-known in the areas of
the Arts, Science and Medicine, Politics, Education as well as
other fields.
I make public to Jewishgen the following list of P.S. 20 Alumni from
our P.S. 20 Wall of Honor.
If you are related to these people, we would absolutely love to hear
from you and possibly plan some event where, if convenient, you can
visit our school and our especially phenomenal children.
