I would appreciate any help in locating Victor FERSZTENFELD (or any of his
children) who we believe is alive and living some where in France. He is the
son of David and Edith Fersztenfeld who lived in Bedzin (Bendeen), Poland.
The family fled Poland in the 1930's and went to Paris. David was sent to
Auschwitz where he died; Edith and her son, Victor, managed to hide out and
were able to survive the war.
David's brother, Nathan Ferstenfeld/Fersztenfeld, managed to survive his
internment and after the war he was reunited with his wife. (Their young
daughter died in the camp.) Subsequently, they and their new son, Bill,
settled in the United States.
Recently, when Bill Ferstenfeld became interested in genealogy, his mother
told him about David, Edith and Victor and said that up until about twenty
years ago, she and her husband had been in touch with them and that they were
living in Paris. Bill couldn't find them listed in the Paris directory on the
internet. (This directory does not include suburban areas.) Is there anyone
in France or anywhere else in this small world, who could dig up current
addresses, phone numbers or any pertinent information about any
Fersztenfelds (any spelling will do)? Bill will be in Paris this summer and
it is his dream to meet the only living relatives he has on his father's side.
Please respond directly to Bill. His internet address is "bfe...@aol.com". I
am posting this for him because he did not have any success and may have
posted to the wrong bulletin board.
