In the book ITALIAN AMERICAN ROOTS, Volume 1 (1851-1861), Civil Records
of
Births - Marriages - Deaths of Alia, Sicily the author Albert J.
Robichaux,
Jr., has abstracted information from the filmed records of Alia, a town
in
Palermo Province, Sicily Region. Many Italian immigrants from Alia
entered
the United States through the port of New Orleans and settled in
Louisiana.

The information in the book is the civil vital records for Alia. The LDS
