Does anyone know what a "baby Bottle" of brandy is in Ireland? How many
fluid ounces would it contain?

I'm searching for a date of birth and death for my g-grandfather James
Craney in Warrenpoint. James Craney's daughter Mary Ann was my grandmother
and she was born in Warrenpoint Oct. 20, 1860. Any help will be appreciated.

'Baby' bottles (or miniatures) are usually either 50ml or 70ml - I think
that is 1.7 or 2.4 fluid ounces.
Hope that helps.

Thanks Trish;
I am following an old Irish recipe for cough medicine & flu symptons,
which calls for 2 baby bottles of brandy with 6 raw eggs shells & all
which are soaked in the juice of 6 lemons for 3 days till the shells are
disolved, among a few other ingredients. I came across the recipe in a
recent edition of "Irelands Own" magazine.
