Dertingen is today part of Wertheim. There are still some
Englert families. Mosbach is a town about 70 kilometers
southwest of Wertheim. Both, Mosbach and Dertingen, have
been part of Baden.

In 1752 Georg Englert from Dertingen emigrated to New
England or Pennsylvania. There is no "official" emigration
of any Englert in the 1800's (but many emigrants went
without permission).

Just getting started in tracking family history of ENGLERT. We live in
southern Indiana, USA. I know that my husbands GG father lived in this
area. But haven't started to trace roots back to Germany yet.

This was certainly exciting to look on the genealogy site for the first
time and find that someone else was researching the name Englert.
