German society and the Germans: Academic study of foreigners in Germany

Visitors and immigrants to Germany have a unique perspective on German society and culture, offering insights that are not fully appreciated or understood by locals. This study aims to provide a systematic record of those insights and to provide a new look at German society and culture.
We ask you to write your candid assessment of different facets of German culture, values, manners and institutions. The response time is up to you, as it depends on how many topics you choose to answer. Please give detailed examples. Please also explicate the standards for your comparison, namely the culture in your home country which helped you appreciating the idiosyncrasy of German culture.
This anonymous study is part of a sociological study of German society. All details will be kept secret and quotes would be made with pseudonyms only. Obviously, all personal details will be kept confidential. The only use of the reports will be for scientific purposes.
