I am a descendant of Johasnn Benjamin Schiller a member of Specht
Regiment of the Brunswick troops. He took part in the battle of Burgoune
and was captured. At the end of the war he remained in Canada and
married and raised a family. I have good documentation on his life in
North America and would like to obtain more information on his German
ancestory. What I do know is that he was born about 1757 in Koenigberg,
Prussia. The name has been changed when it came un Russian rule after
WWII. It is now known as Kalingrad in Lithuania. How would I obtain
church records or other facts on my relative?
