<<In this book i'm reading they discuss the term prussian junker wrt the
German military i think. My question is what does it mean exactly? The
book title is _The struggle for Mastery of Europe_ by A J P Taylor.>>
Hi Mike-
Junkers were a class of people in Prussia who owned large rural estates
from which they made their living. They were landholders. As a class they had
a lot of political power but nothing to do directly with the military.
Otto von Bismarck was a famous Junker.
