My great grandfather was Carl Friederich Ludwig Koenig born November
20, 1851. Place of birth: Lenglern, Hanover, Prussia, Germany.
His parents were Heinrich Justus Friedrich born January 18, 1818 and
Dorothea Christine Freiderike Hartwig born December 11, 1820.
His wife (my great grandmother) was Friederike Karoline Helene Justine
Ahlborn born June 15, 1858.
Her parents were Karl August Friedrich Ahlborn born January 1, 1827
and Justine Louise Friederike Meyer born June 27, 1831.
Their daughter (my grandmother) was born Berta Marie Emilie Koenig or
Marie Emilie Berta Koenig born April 2, 1896 moved to America died
October 22, 1992. Place of birth: Lenglern, Hanover, Prussia,
Germany.
Any information you have would be great on the family, siblings, etc.
I would also like to send away for their birth, death and marriage certificates.

It appears on my AutoAtlas Deutschland 1995/96 that there is a church at Lenglern, but the Family History Library Catalog does not contain entries for that place, indicating that the LDS has not filmed Lenglern's church records.
The alternative is to write to the pastor there, or hire a professional genealogist to find your family.
Perhaps someone on this list will make a better suggestion, or at least tell you how to write to the pastor.

listings for Koenig in Bovenden, which is only 4 km (2.4 miles) from
Lenglern.
There is also 1 Hartwig listing in Bovenden.
There are also 39 Ahlborn listings in Bovenden.
There are also 31 Meyer listings in Bovenden.
These are probably all distant relatives, and some letters to some of them
might get you some answers about your ancestors.

Lenglern was 2001 part of Bovenden near G�ttingen. It is located
2.5km wsw of Bovenden and ca.6km nw of G�ttingen.
