I have a record that describes place of birth as "Neureudnitz (Leipzig)".
Does anyone know exactly what this means? Now, I know where Leipzig is and I
thought it might be the name of an old village that got annexed by the
growing city but I could not find Neureudnitz anywhere on a map of greater
Leipzig. There is a town by the name of Neureudnitz north east of Berlin but
my guess is that this is not the one I'm looking for (otherwise why would
"Leipzig" follow in parethesis). Can anyone help me out here?

There is a Reudnitzer Strasse in Leipzig southeast of the main station.
And there is a quarter of Leipzig called Reudnitz. It is situated
southeast of the main station and eastnortheast of the Leipzig fair
area.
I own a program for searching villages. Searching for Leipzig Reudnitz
and searching for Neureudnitz leads to the same village. In this program
Leipzig Reudnitz has the same postcode as Neureudnitz, D-04317. So this
quarter of Leipzig called Reudnitz must be the Neureudnitz you are
looking for.
