My surname is VIVERN. I live in Catalonia (Spain). My surname was written as
VIUERNA in 1637. My family is the only one in Spain with this surname, and
I've serious reasons to think it's a German surname, probably related to a
place in Germany called BIBERN (?), with the addition of the suffix -ER.
I've actually found some similar forms in Germany, like VIBERNY, WIBBERN,
BIBERNA, WIEBERN and so on... but I still don't know if I can take it as a
definitive proof.
Does anyone know if there could be a surname in the 17th century in Germany
pronounced as "WIUERNER" (That is what it would sound like for a German).

Ich spreche nicht gut Deutsch, aber ihre Antworten werde ich gern haben.
Vielen Dank!

Daniel
