Many thanks for this information - his parents were Edward and Doris
Witt , am told b. Hanover and Hamburg, at St. Michael's cathedral
there, marriage record was found for 1852.
I was thinking perhaps the local cemetery might have a record for this
son Carl Edward 1922.
