Does anyone have any idea how to get a map, or diagram, or sketch, etc, of
what Germany may have looked like in about 1700, that might possibly show
Oberhausen? Am researching Bischoff family from that time period, in that
area. Thank you.

There are for instance historical atlasses on the market which
contain such maps.
Germany looked very coloured at those times! (many kingdoms,
duchies, counties, bishoprics etc.etc.)

Try Ebay. Under Antiques, Maps, search for "Germany 17". I just bought an
original Bavaria of 1794.
There are many Oberhausen's, so the "area" isn't known (it's like saying
Springfield somewhere in the USA).
Another source of maps is http://www.genealogyunlimited.com/

Hi, Nancy.

I have a large collection of links to online maps at my genealogy
homepage, several of which will get you what you're looking for. Have
a look (free pages, of course):

As always, I welcome suggestions & feedback.
