I have a group of families I'm researching who immigrated to the US from the
Worpswede area.
The Worpswede area families I am attempting to trace include Siem(s),
Boetjer, Schnaars, Stelljes, and Bunger.
Other families which are <perhaps> from the Worpswede area include
Bullwinkel, Vogt, and Behrens.
Are there genealogy societies, groups or electronic groups which focus on
Worpswede, Kreis Osterholz, or Teufelsmoor ?
Or anyone here ?
Feel free to reply here or to my email...

And in 19th Century Brooklyn it was often Anglicized to Bottyer.
If you have links with the Tueffelsmoor, we may be related ! :-)
I wouldn't have guessed the link with the -cher and -scher spellings.

Thus far, these families had no Umlaut but who knows what I'll find as I
continue back.

Thanks. I wasn't aware of these.
