Pls. explain for me the following. I know that Neustadt an der Waldnab and
Pfreimd etc. are towns in der Oberpfalz, but is Oberpfalz situated in
Bayern. I have visited the places and thought I was in Bayern, but someone
tells me that it is not Bayern. Pls. tell me what is the correct situation
for these two towns.

Hello Knud,

both places are in Bayern, Oberpfalz.

Neustadt an der Waldnaab (Neustadt a. d. WN) is 7 km north of Weiden
(100 km north of Regensburg).
Pfreimd is about 25 km south of Weiden.
