Wanted: Information on Johannes CHRIST/CRYST, husband of Barbara ?,
father of Juliana Maria ARENBERGERIN. Juliana is wife of Frederick
Johannes ARENBERG of Brensbach in the Odenwald region (1750 in lordship
of Breuberg). Johannes' & Barbara's 1720s marriage is recorded in the
Lutheran Church register which is still extant, with the following
written under Johannes CHRIST's name: "ein getaufest Jude."

Juliana Maria (b. 1740s) and her husband Frederick ARENBERG emigrated to
Nova Scotia (Canada) in 1750. Frederick helped to found the oldest
Lutheran church in Canada at Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, 1770.

Johannes Christ (son of Peter Christ and Anna Maria Fritz) was born 1 Dec 1695, Baumbach, Hessen-Nassau, Germany, he died 1748 in Florsheim, Hessen-Nassau, Germany, he married 30 May 1720, Lutheran Church, Baumbach, Hessen-Nassau, Germany to Maria Barbara Duchmann (daughter of Christoph Duchmann and Anna Catherina Ohl), born 19 Feb 1702, Baumbach, Hessen-Nassau, Germany, died 15 Nov 1740, Hochheim, Hessen-Nassau, Germany.

You are correct they were the parents of Maria Julianna Christ, who married Johann Friedrich Arenburg, who were my 7x great-grandparents.

The Christ family I have info on dating back to circa 1540, which is pretty amazing really.
