Je recherche les parents d'Antoine QUANE (Decouagne), aussi connu
sous le nom d'Antoine LAPENSEE, marie a Ste-Genevieve, pres de
Montreal, en 1839, a Mathilde BEAULIEU dit Montpellier. La famille
DECOUAGNE etaient une famille marchande sous le regime francais.
Searching for the parents of Antoine QUANE (Decouagne), also known
by the name Antoine LAPENSEE, married at Ste-Genevieve, near Mont-
real, around 1838, to Mathilde BEAULIEU dit Montpellier. The
DECOUAGNE family was an important merchant family during the French
regime.

Of all the information that I have found and traced Antoine is not a member of the Decouagne family that you are looking for. I have traced him to an Indian Reserve and am waiting for a confirmation. Please email for further information.
