Hello, I am researching my DENNIS Family from Middletown, Monmouth
County, RE: <<PLANTATION HARMONY>>
also, Port Monmouth, Piscataway, Woodbridge, NJ, MA, New York City,
RI, GA, Virginia, MASS, USA

Family folklore:
DENNIS of <<FRENCH>> ancestory.

I would like to find when my Dennis family came to the USA as I have
found the Dennis name back to the 1600's in Mass. and RI who sent
there children to settle NJ USA,

James Dennis Sr. born in 1774 who married Hester?
Information from DENNIS family farm burial plot in Middletown, NJ

Peter C. Dennis was the oldest name recorded in our Dennis family
Bible.<<Also had (3) brothers one by the name of John DENNIS.>>

Captain Jacob Dennis captained the ship << USM ROYAL MAIL >> late
1800's Steamship line NYC via Cuba, and FRANCE << looking for any
information about same >>

Captain Jake DENNIS captained the PACKET SIDE WHEELER STEAMER
<<KEANSBURG>> from Keansburg, NJ to NYC and return in the early 1900's
Found two other steamships the <SANDY HOOK, and the SEA BIRD>

Captain Benjamin Harison Dennis captained the <<RED BANK>> FERRY LINE
of the CENTRAL JERSEY RAILROAD ext. from LIBERTY STATE PARK AREA to
NYC in the mid 1900's

Also looking for any information about the Dennis Brick Factory that
was located near the northern border of Middletown and Middle Road
area near the DENNIS farm on <<1000 acre Plantation Harmony>> in 1706

Any information for same would be appreciated, and surnames will be
added as they become available.

Other surnames are: Stephens, Strickland, (Sreeve 1720), Elsden,
Tagnor,<<Truax>> Helmuth, and Halsey most from the 1700's.

Desendents are Scott, Havens, Hancock, Carmen, Like, Lingo, Goulds,
Mallett, Thorne, Wood, Wickman, Van Note, Estlow, Farwell, Fisher,
and Clayton, Blood, Britton, Comptons, Henry, Runyan, Coe, Haight,
Behn, Seering, Conneuer, Smelter, Glasses, Stnapi, Smelter, Stillwell
Rausch, Burrows, Hartung, Burghart, Dubien, Greeley, Walker
information from Dennis Family Tree made in the 1920's ?

Fairview Cemetery in Middletown, NJ has some 40 Dennis Family re:
some with the Family names of McCrackin and Soule.
I do not know if we are related?
I have identified some three of my ancestors so far, one of which is
Captain Jacob Dennis.

JAMES DENNIS, Son of Peter Dennis early 1800's moved to Fall River,
Virginia (oyster beds) My Great Great Uncle

Other DENNIS ancestors married in Monmouth Co. and moved to Georgia,
USA 1800's. (I do not know at this time if I am related) So much
research, and so little time!
