I am an American female trying to determine why exactly I have inhereted the
physical traits I have and from whom. Though my geneaology is almost
entirely Anglo and Gaelic, I have light olive skin, brown eyes, and brown
hair, certainly not the typical Celt or Saxon! I know that I also have a
few French ancestors, and I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me as to
whether there are any "typical" French physical characteristics. I am
short, with a muscular build, small eyes, thin lips, and a square jaw.
Someone told me that these traits were French, and, though I doubt that to
be true, I am curious about my hair and eye color!

Thanks.

It depends if your French ancestors were from Northern or Southern France, if
they descented from the Francs, the Romans or the Vikings. There is no such
thing as a typical French. Is there any typical American ?

certainly not the typical Celt or Saxon! I

wrong :

there is not a typical celt. This sentence is a non sense. They were
sometime tall with blond hair and blue eyes, sometimes they were short with
brown hair and dark eyes. Thy were already mixed with the people they
invaded and subjugated in Europe..so....

There is no french typical characteristics

Then why are they all so generally attractive as a people ? Could it be
the food ?Maybe I am prejudiced in their favor and not objective. Ah
well , each of us gets a choice and my wife is French. So you can tell
what I think, easily.

May the Lord bless you and keep you safe, From Ranger-Dave Robinson.
