In the Nederlands Adelsboek I found the informations about the familys
"Schimmelpenninck" and "Schimmelpenninck van der Oye" from 1388 till today.
But there are only the informations of the "direct" line.
I`m looking for informations about a possibly collateral line or other
members of the family within the timeframe 1550 - 1600.
I have the following:
"In 1602 members of the noble dutch familys Schimmelpenninck and
Schimmelpenninck van der Oye left the province of Geldern because of
religious reasons. They settled in Ermland ( Eastprussia ) and changed their
names into Schimmelpfennig and Schimmelpenning von der Oye".
( Source: Zedlitz-Neukirch, part 4, page 167 ).
The given names of two of them possibly are Alexander and Christoph.
I`m looking for any help and information you can give to me.
Thank you in advance.

For your information: On the 2nd of March 1680 the widows of Otto Gerritsen
and Frederick Haeckmans are owing Gijsgert Schimmelpenninck van der Oij tot
Hinderen an amount for the lease of some land probably near Doesburg,
because it was in that city that Dr Wilbrenninck deposited the case against
the widows.
Hope that this is of some help,

Frans,
I thank you for this information. She matches the notes very well that land
shall have belonged to the family already in 1300 or earlier in that area.
Again many thanks.
