Hi Jane,
I thought I may have emailed you before but perhaps not.
I noted that you had been transcribing Laois records & wondered if you can
help me.
My great great grandparents were Denis Delaney & Judith Dormer who had 1 son
at least John Dormer
Delaney in 1814 & who joined 27th reg of foot in 1838 serving in the Cape
(Africa)
There lived in clonbrock (Queens)
I have a page of Griffiths Valuation which lists Catherine Dormer map 61b
Mary Dormer 61c
& Judith Delaney 70A (1850-51)?
I don't have a copy of map however & would appreciate any information you
might be able to provide.
I would like to know a priest that I could write to for trace of births
marriages deaths etc

I hav been researching my family tree on my great grandmothers side and John Dormer Delaney was my 3rd Great Grandfather. He was my great grandmothers grandfather. Which means we must be related.
