I wouldd like to obtain a full certificate of this death. What is the best
way? I tried applying for it throught the Tas Govt portal, but it timed
out.

Also, could SKS extract the Digger index entry for me, please?

Doug.

TAS BDM records to 1899 are on film in quite few libraries (
similar to the NSW Church records films). Copy from the TAS BDM
registry is quite expensive ............ $37 comes to mind .

Apply via
ta...@education.tas.gov.au
certificates up till 1899 are only half the cost as opposed to applying
through Tas BDM.

Thanks Marg. I haven't checked what is here in Bendigo, but the Tas site
mentions the AIGS at Blackburn, and there is a branch of the AIGS here.
They run the Genealogy Expo here every March.

From what I have seen so far, this lady isn't the one I am looking for, but
I am hoping that there will be some clues in the microfilms. Mine was born
about 1814, but nobody knows where. Her first husband is just as much a
mystery. He was a MING, but not one of the Buckinghamshire Mings. The most
likely story so far is that he was a Chinese herbalist, and the child of
missionary parents.
